Steven Neuliep's CV

Specializing in golf course accident investigation, analysis and reports. I only do golf course expert work, it is my focus and all elements of golf course safety has always been a priority in the various positions that I have held during my career on the golf course.

I possess over 35 years proven experience in the golf course industry; including working as a golf course superintendent for over 25 years. Throughout my career, I have worked in nearly every position on the golf course to include; caddy, pro shop attendant, locker room attendant, golf course maintenance staff, Asst, Golf Course Supt., Golf Course Supt. and Director of Golf Operations. In addition, I am a single-digit handicap golfer. All of these different positions on the golf course and being an avid golfer gives me a unique perspective and provides many different lenses to analyze and upon which I formulate my opinions and conclusions, regarding incidents that may happened on the golf course. These multiple experiences result in better clarity of the incident that may have occurred.

I have renovated, constructed and maintained golf courses in 3 different states and in two different climatic regions. Additionally, I have also served as a Director of Golf Operations, which included oversight of the entire golf operation to include the pro shop and golf play. I have been a Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) for over 20 years. Additionally, I have also attended countless continuing education seminars, webcasts and industry sponsored events, with topics on everything from the business of golf to golf course safety. I am also an Adjunct Instructor at a local community college. And I also attended a MBA boot-camp for golf course superintendents in conjunction with Syngenta and Wake Forest’s MBA program. I remain active in local, regional and national golf course associations.
