I have extensive experience in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) design and construction industry, including as head of energy savings performance contracting for Johnson Controls, a building automation manufacturer; as department head for the Trane company in Baltimore, a major manufacturer of HVAC equipment; and more than ten years of experience as engineer and project manager for HVAC design build and energy conservation projects for Burns Mechanical, a large mechanical contracting company in Philadelphia.

My design experience includes hospitals and health care; pharmaceutical; data centers; restaurants; commercial office buildings; retail, refrigerated storage and hospitality and multifamily residential facilities..

I have experience with claims such as frozen sprinkler lines, furnace puffbacks, fire damage due to HVAC or electrical probems, boiler and chiller failures and engineering design errors and omissions related to HVAC and refrigeration claims..

I have extensive experience in the following: 1. Heating, ventilating and air conditioning system design and equipment failure in buildings 2. Electrical design including switchgear, distribution feeders, utility demand peak shaving, solar design 3. Plumbing domestic water design including cross connection review and certified backflow prevention testing 4. Sanitary systems design per local codes 5. Building Automation (BAS) also called Direct Digital Controls (DDC) systems and integration 6.
